John was put into a medically-induced coma for 6 weeks to allow for 27 surgeries. They are now retired from active duty and live with their families in New York and New Jersey. Dave Karnes re-enlisted in the Marines and served two tours of duty in Iraq. For the fallen men and women of the Port Authority Police Department.
