Two spaces are called equivalent or (simply) isomorphic if there is a one-one correspondence between the objects in the spaces which establishes a one-one correspondence between all the properties constituting the structures of the respective spaces. When this is applied to two spaces which are the same, there is thus defined what is called an of the space.
