This divine book contains in it interesting things to persons of every rank and class, of every different capacity, of every age and sex: it is written for the use of all sorts, men, women, and children, and therefore the main and essential things in it are written in such a manner as to be understood by them all: thus Timothy from a child knew the holy Scriptures, 2 Tim. iii. 15. and herein the wisdom of God is wonderfully displayed..."
