"Dawn, listen to me, listen. I love you. I will always love you, this is the work I have to do. Tell Giles that... Tell Giles I figured it out... And I'm ok. And give my love to my friends. You have to take care of them now, you have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. Be brave, live... for me."

Note: This line is directed at Buffy's younger sister Dawn, before character leaps off a tower; she falls into a gateway to another dimension, closing it but dying in the process. She did this in order to save the world, as the opening of the dimension in question would have resulted in the deaths of every living creature on Earth. This was the final Buffy episode to air on The WB. Buffy is resurrected at the beginning of the next season, aired thereafter on a different network.
