However, I like to remember that, in recent days, Pope Benedict XVI addressed the Roman clergy, reminding them that the pastoral task must not give in to the temptation to take politics into personal hands. The question is how to be realistic and practical without arrogating to ourselves a political competence that does not belong to priests."
