"Cain, a cursed man, slayer of his brother, multiplied evil; and his seed did likewise, provoking God's wrath with their wickedness. His lineage had no fear of God in their eyes, none of his children ever kept in mind that He had created them, none ever prayed to Him, nor worshipped Him, nor ever invoked His name, nor served Him out of fear. No, his successors thought only of eating, drinking, dancing, playing stringed instruments, singing unworthy songs, and performing impure works without any law, measure, or rule. Thus the perversion of the children of Cain multiplied, so much so that in their boundless indecency they introduced the seed of the donkey into the mare, and thus the mule was begotten, which God had certainly not commanded."

Cain
1817 – 1818
Cain is a biblical figure in the Book of Genesis. He is the elder brother of Abel, and the firstborn son of Adam and Eve, the first couple within the Bible. He was a farmer who gave an offering of his crops to God. However, God was not pleased and favored Abel's offering over Cain's. Out of jealousy, Cain killed his brother, for which he was punished by God with the curse and mark of Cain. He had several descendants, starting with his son Enoch and including Lamech.
