Charles Anthony Raven Crosland (29 August 1918 β 19 February 1977), born at St Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, England, was a British politician and Labour member of Parliament - as well as being a socialist theorist. He held many posts in the Labour Cabinets of Harold Wilson and James Callaghan before his sudden death in 1977.
