"Emigration should be a free decision. People must be able to choose whether they want to leave or stay, because the country belongs to everyone. So I should be free to decide whether I go to another country or stay in my country."
"Today we are in a world where religious confessions and philosophical tendencies are constantly born. When young people do not have a strong and serious support, they tend to listen to these promoters of happiness, and this constitutes a danger for them."
"Through the various activities of the seminary, self-confidence is promoted. It is time to recognize the contribution of women in African society and in the Church in Africa and their fundamental role in education and transmission of culture and spirituality in communities and families."
"If the world continues to do nothing, the result will be the elimination of the Christian presence. They have settled within our country little by little, attacking the army, civil structures and the population. Now, their main target seems to be Christians. I believe they are trying to trigger an inter-religious conflict. Insecurity continues to increase and has forced us to reduce our pastoral activities."
"Whether one is a Muslim, Christian, Catholic, Protestant or of a traditional African belief, terrorism has spared no one and causes everyone to lose their livelihoods, their home, activities, life and freedom for those who have been taken hostage."
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to build fraternal solidarity between the Catholic Church of Korea and Burkina Faso through Saint Andrew Kim. I believe this will allow us to be more deeply united in the love of God. It is a great honor to keep the remains of Saint-André Kim in a cathedral in Burkina Faso. It is a sign of unity and communion of the saints."
"The phenomenon of early marriage is one of the worst scourges afflicting the population of my diocese, which needs to be immediately stopped. The girls, even before birth, are destined to marry and parents, once born, do not allow them to go to school so that they do not have any external contacts. It is a very serious problem. To help this segment of the population we are planning a college for these children, where they could be guaranteed, in addition to education, true "freedom" from this slavery."
"Edification of the family, is above all Evangelization. The first goal; of these Family-Communities is to be Schools of Evangelization; it is important that the whole Church become a communion of family-communities and that the whole Church be evangelized; that is to say, internally renewed and becoming a new humanity. This presupposes that the shepherds become itinerant preachers of the Good News, going from community to community."

"Inevitably, this period of lockdown will have repercussions on the lives and the faith of our Christians, both positive and negative. There will be a before and an after. For some, being unable to take part in the Eucharistic celebration will deepen their desire and thirst for God and for union and communion with him and with their community. For lukewarm Christians, however, this could be the end."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
