"[Speaking Portuguese poorly] Don't make me– hungry. You wouldn't like me when I'm– hungry. [Pause, in English] Wait, that's not right."
"[After jumping from a helicopter and realizing that he's not transforming] Oh, shit!"
"I've run into bad situations on crap missions before. I've seen good men go down purely because someone didn't let us in on what we were walking into, I've moved onto the next one, 'cause that's what we do, right? I mean that's the job, but THIS? This is a whole new level of weird, and I don't feel inclined to step away from it. So if you're taking another crack at him…I want in. AND with respect, you should be looking for a team that's prepped and ready to fight, because if that thing shows up again, you're going to have a lot of professional tough guys PISSING in their PANTS, sir."
"You don't deserve this power!"
"[nervously, as Blonsky transforms into the Abomination] This is... what I was trying to explain! I don't know what you've been... ladling into yourself... but clearly it worked. Let's assume you don't understand a word I'm saying... but if you'll just get back on the table... I can fix this...! [the Abomination knocks him into a table, injuring his head; a blood sample from Banner trickles into the wound, and he grins as his cranium starts to swell]"
"On June 13, get ready to unleash the beast."
"This summer, our only hope is something incredible"
"This June, a hero shows his true colors"
"You'll like him when he's angry."
"Edward Norton – Dr. Bruce Banner / Hulk"
"Liv Tyler – Betty Ross"
"Tim Roth – Major Emil Blonsky / Abomination"
"Tim Blake Nelson – Dr. Samuel Sterns"
"Ty Burrell – Dr. Leonard Samson"
"William Hurt – Gen. Thunderbolt Ross"
"Lou Ferrigno as the voice of The Hulk"
"Kevin Michael Richardson as the voice of The Abomination"
"Incredible Hulk immediately launches us into a story of a man on the run, and it’s a mostly joyless experience. Banner is a tortured character, and an alternate opening had him trying to commit suicide on a desolate mountaintop before the Hulk breaks out and crushes the gun. What separates Hulk from his Marvel compatriots is that Banner has no agency in his superpower. He didn’t want to become the Hulk; the best he can do is bury the beast, and when it breaks out, he loses almost all control. That’s not heroism; that’s desperation, and it’s tough to squeeze a fun summer action movie in there."
"Well, my own feeling is that in the first two (Hulk films), they made him too powerful. I never conceived of him that way, and I didn't think it was necessary for him to be that big. I thought he could’ve been seven and a half feet tall. That's quite enough."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
