The Goon Show is a radio comedy programme that was conceived by Spike Milligan, and transmitted by BBC Radio from 28 May 1951 to 28 January 1960. The Goon Show is known for its absurdist humour and surreal comedy premises, which proved to be an influence on later generation of British comedians. Milligan and Peter Sellers perform many characters, while Harry Secombe's main role is Neddy Seagoon.
