"I am short sighted and also have trouble seeing when there is a lot of light in a room or certain environment. When I went to the optical center, I was asked to pay $180 for a new pair of glasses, which was really expensive. For a country where the average monthly income earned is $40, this is simply unaffordable. I also realized that optical centers are located disproportionately, mainly within the urban areas, leaving the people in rural areas to have to travel long distances to access eye care services. This gap drove me to start Wazi Vision whose long term goal is to make eye care accessible and affordable to everyone regardless of their income status."
"Focus on the product. A lot of questions will come up about how you make money. But if you focus on creating a quality product that people will use to solve real life challenges, there will always be opportunities to monetize your solution."
"In Uganda its mostly born out of necessity and the need to survive but nonetheless it is steadily growing. Now more than ever we have many programs supporting women equipping them for growth and sustainability β and many women are taking advantage of them."
"Success to me means being able to create impact or to inspire someone to do something they never thought they would be able to do."

"Technology plays a pivotal role in my life both personally and professionally β starting from things as easy as communication, to the core of what runs my business. Not only does it help me manage my tasks and communicate with literally every one thatβs part of my network but it is also at the centre of how our manufacturing happens. We use technology to make everything come to life."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
