Beatriz Merino
Martha Beatriz Merino Lucero (born November 15, 1947) is a Peruvian lawyer, academic, and politician. She made history as the first female Prime Minister of Peru in 2003. Before that, she served as a Senator and Congresswoman from 1990 to 2000. After her time in Alejandro Toledo's cabinet, Merino was appointed National Ombudswoman (Public Defender) of Peru from 2005 to 2011, becoming the second person to hold this office.
