Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi (1506 — 21 February 1543) was the Somali Imam of the Adal Sultanate from 1527 to 1543. Imam Ahmad (commonly named Ahmad Gurey in Somali, Gragn in Amharic, and Gura in Afar, both meaning "the left-handed"), led the conquest of the Ethiopian Empire under the Sultanate of Adal during the Ethiopian-Adal War.
