"The rejection of God is not only conveyed by our evil actions, but also by sins of omission, which always suppress the good works we were called to do. What counts are the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. It's not only giving; it’s giving of ourselves. Giving for the good of the body and soul of one who is in need."

Thus we will be enlightening our brothers and sisters in the faith and all men and women of good will."

"Visit cemeteries and pray for the dead. In this way we remember our loved ones, knowing that they have not been forgotten and are not gone forever. We don't visit a cemetery as if we were going to a museum or an art gallery, but rather for Christians, death is illuminated by the faith. The cemetery is a place for silence and for remembering our loved ones in prayer. It is the final resting place for those who shared their lives with us and who await the Resurrection."

This fragility comes after a gradual loss of the Christian understanding of life, in this case of conjugal and family life, caused by multiple factors, including a certain inconsistency in Christian formation, and as a consequence, the scarce practice of the life of faith."
"If we lose this essential vision of unity and mutual collaboration that man and woman possess, we are left as just two isolated individuals without meaning. Man and woman can more clearly recognize their own identity the more they remain close to each other, linked together and faithful, and the more they live out the essential openness to reciprocity and complementarity. Only if they are together can they prepare themselves to be missionaries of love and of life. The encounter with the living Jesus Christ and their insertion into the Church will make them even more fulfilled and happy."

In that vein, it is worth keeping in mind that an institution living through one of its most challenging periods in recent history has had some blessings to count lately, small yet bright rays peeking through the dark cloud that has been the year 2020."

"Messi has always been my idol."
"Messi is class. There is him, and then there is the rest. What he does is extraordinary. He demands admiration."
"He is by far the best player in the world – he’s a one-off."

He’s a great individual player but a great person as well and a credit to football."

2. Aug.
