"Well, seventeen years ago in Los Angeles, I bought a [toy] frog, about two foot six, for my four-year-old son. [I] brought it home in London and he said: "Oh Daddy, you bought Freddie for me!". I said: "Why did you call that frog 'Freddie'?". He said: "It's Freddie for sure!". So I decided to write some stories about Freddie the frog and eventually those stories evolved into a script idea and hence is the movie."
