This family consists of about 100 genera and 3000 species, most of which are perennial herbs, shrubs and trees. The family is divided into three subfamilies: Rosoideae (rose subfamily), which contains Rosa spp., Rubus spp. (raspberries and blackberries), and Fragaria spp. (strawberries)."
