"I could not make up my mind whether Babaji was enlightened or not, even though I spent more time in Haidakhan in the following year and met Babaji also in other places like Delhi and Vrindavan. The photo of the amazingly handsome young Babaji had doubtless pulled me, as well as many others, to him like a magnet. If I had only seen that photo and not the man in flesh and blood, it would have been easy to take him to be genuine, because the photo glowed with beauty and calm. Even today, this photo draws Westerners to Haidakhan. Most of them have never met Babaji and bowed to Muniraj, the owner of ‘Hind Traders’, who took over the role of the guru after Babaji’s death and who meanwhile also has died."
