Note: After the Joker has beaten the character to a bloody pulp and left him and his mother, Sheila Haywood, in the warehouse with a ticking time bomb, she tries getting them both out, only for Jason to ask her what is happening and for her to discover that the door has been locked as the time bomb explodes. At this point, the comic ended with a chance for fans to vote by each 1-900 number on whether Jason should live or die. Since the "death" votes from the fans (5,343) overpowered their "life"
