"According to a widely accepted, but unproven, theory, the Siginni are thought to be an Iranian people affected by the Scythian invasions. However, we are not able to determine their language or ethnic affiliation. They may be considered as an Iranian or pre-Iranian tribe. The Siginnian presence, whatever may have been the ethnic affiliations of this people, brought about the ethnic and cultural transformation of the Hungarian plain."
