I'm not a scientist, but I get the impression that many scientists are familiar with this thought from Isaac Newton, and many find it necessary to repeat a similar declaration of humility and gratitude right before publishing something they *know* is important. I propose running this quote in its form as shown here, and then just saying that this specific version of the quote has never before been run as a quote of the day."
