"Kazuo Umezu has been my favorite comic artist for as long as I can remember. His work is very inspiring. When I draw comics I’m influenced by his work without even realizing it, and I believe many other artists are too. His comics leave a lasting impression due to high quality art and compelling storytelling. I don’t think any horror artist can surpass him in Japan."
