"The first Gulf War ended not with a crushing defeat of an enemy, but with a cease fire, leaving a large army in place that continued to defy the UN treaty and waste millions of US taxpayer's dollars every year. Untold thousands of Iraqis lost their lives due to the conditions under the emboldened Saddam Hussein. After twelve years of this the United States went to war with Iraq again. That second war became known as the Iraq war, though some call it the Second Gulf War. The war seemed to finally end for the United States in 2011 when the last major US forces returned home, but the coalition forces pulled out too quickly, under President Obama, and ISIS rose up in the vacuum. Finally, under President Trump, ISIS was destroyed in Iraq and Syria and Iraq finally has some sort of peace."
