Sayf ibn Umar

Sayf ibn Umar, also known as Imam al-Akhbari, was an w:Arab historian who wrote about many early Islamic wars. He belonged to Kufa and lived in Baghdad. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest early Islamic historians. Sayfi maddhab is after his teachings.
