Heavenly Puss is a 1949 American one-reel animated cartoon and is the 42nd Tom and Jerry cartoon released. It was produced in Technicolor, released to theaters on July 9, 1949 by Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, and reissued for re-release on October 27, 1956.
