Anshan (Persia)

Anshan (Sumerian: Anzan), modern Tall-e Malyan (Persian: تل ملیان), was an ancient city in Persia. It was located in the in southwestern Iran, approximately 46 kilometres (29 mi) north of and 43 kilometres (27 mi) west of Persepolis in the / plain, in the province of Fars. Its location serves as a landmark for Elamite studies.
