Adding a Quote
Step 1: Add a Quote
Sign in and click "Add Quote". Enter the exact quote text, the author's name, and the date it was said or written. Choose the original language of the quote.
Step 2: Attach Sources
Add one or more sources to back up the quote — a link to the original speech, a video with timestamp, or a document. Strong sources help quotes get verified faster.
Step 3: Add Translations
If you speak multiple languages, add translations of the quote. This makes it accessible to readers worldwide. Each translation should capture the meaning faithfully.
Step 4: Add Community Notes
Provide context that helps readers understand the quote — when and why it was said, what was happening at the time, or common misunderstandings about it.

Check existing quotes against their sources. If a quote is accurately attributed and well-sourced, community feedback helps moderators verify it.
Propose Edits
Spot an error? Propose a revision with the correct text, author, or date. All edits go through community review to maintain accuracy.
