It is like a Resurrection. [...] I would like to shout to those who ask me if I eat that I eat more than they do, because I am nourished with the Eucharist of the blood and flesh of Jesus. I would like to say that it is they who arrest the fruits of this food within themselves, blocking its effects."
"I loved the sick very much and would have crossed mountains and valleys, if they had let me, to visit a sick person, not to cure them, but to love them"
"Did you notice that Our Mother in Lourdes did not simply say, as she did in Paris on Rue du Bac, that she was conceived without sin, but rather, “I am the Immaculate Conception”! She waited for the Church's proclamation of the dogma of her Holy Immaculate Conception to give us her personal identity before God."

"Transforming all my actions into supernatural and divine actions is the most beautiful of truths, it is the greatest and ultimate word of love."
"I resigned myself to the will of God because the duty of every Christian is to accept the cross which the Saviour sends. It would be a sin to strive against the will of God. I did not accept the cross because of the cross, but in devotion to the Cross of the Saviour… My pains by themselves are of no avail to save souls, but only when united with the pains of Our Lord. If it were possible, I would willingly accept sufferings in Heaven in order to bring more souls to the Saviour."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
