"De roos bade 't hoofd in den stralenden gloed, Wen eens haar de storrem ontluistert, verdoet, Zoo moge z' in 't duister verflensen."
"Schoon de dag nag marre Schittert door 't azuur Vast der avondstarre Rozenkwistend vuur."
""Het botsen der gevoelens," zegt men vaak, "Kan voeren tot het ware van de zaak". Maar waar vooroordeel met vooroordeel strijdt, Wat is het — dan verlies van tijd!"
"Pergit opus Veneris variis disponere formis, Et docilem molli flectere ab arte natem, Dum quaesita Venus totis guttata medullis Perfluat, et dulci laxa labore cadat."
"Simon Vinkenoog died at the full age of nearly 81. Indeed, yesterday 18 July would have been his birthday. Born and buried on the same day, that was astrology enthusiast Simon Vinkenoog for you. "In the sixties and seventies, he presided over the wave of hippyism that swept Amsterdam. He pioneered the reinstating of poetry as a performing art, and was all over the place in New Age publications almost until his dying breath, displaying in passing his considerable erudition in religion and philosophy. - Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.

They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
