"What do you know about my son?"
"You want me to stab a child. A little boy. Can't you see how insane that is? It isn't real, Keith. There is no devil, there is no God—there is only here and now and life. And that is something I would never take away from any man, certainly not my own son."
"[Last words] Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread [Cries] and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation--"
"No atheists in foxholes, eh?"
"Well if you won't, I will."
"Accept responsibility, Mr. Thorn. You did it. You let them do it."
"I was at the hospital, Mr. Thorn, the night your son was born."
"Your son, Mr. Thorn... the Son of the Devil."
"You'll see me in Hell, Mr. Thorn. We'll spend eternity together."
"Unnamed Bishop: [To Pope (translated)] Your Holiness, the prophecy is in the Book of Revelation, 8:7. [Begins a slide] "When the First Angel blew his trumpet, wind and rain pounded the earth. When the Second Angel blew his trumpet, mountains of fire came tumbling down. [Referencing 9/11] When the Third Angel blew his trumpet, a flaming star fell from above." [Referencing the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster], flaming like a torch. When the Fourth Angel blew his trumpet, the sea rose up and swallowed two hundred thousand people. When the Sixth Angel blew his trumpet, the Beast was freed from the bottomless pit and wreaked havoc upon the earth.""
"Unnamed Bishop: [Translated] Your Holiness, the sequence of events has been successfully interpreted. The appearance of the comet only confirms our worst fear. We stand now, on the eve of Armageddon. The darkest evil this way comes and He will do battle for our very souls."

"The prophecy is clear. The signs are unmistakable."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
