"Homosexual conduct is, and has been, considered abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature, and a violation of the laws of nature and of natureās God upon which this nation and our laws are predicated."
"Ignoring the lessons of our history, Obamaās economic policies of big government, enlarged federal control over our lives and eventually, as even he predicts, increased taxation has garnered a name of its own ā āObamanomics.ā Obamanomics is simply the philosophy of socialism, loosely defined as ācollective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production or distribution of goods.ā Nations that embrace socialism inevitably experience stagnation and economic decline."
"Iām a very strict constructionist of the Constitution and I know how to question, or I know how to vetāto use the word that the press uses all the timeācandidates for judicial offices, and I think I would be very successful in the United States Senate in doing that because I think that thereās so many in the judiciary and legal establishment that donāt understand the Constitution, donāt understand the separation of powers, donāt understand the concepts of restraint of power in the Constitution."
"I think the 60-vote rule allows people to avoid voting on controversial issues by hiding behind a rule, now, I understand the argument of the parties that the party in the majority may change and things happen, but the thing about it is it is still a violation of the Constitution. We often talk in judicial circles about judicial fiats, in other words an amendment to the Constitution by judicial fiat which means them passing laws that have no relation to the Constitution. Well thereās also legislative fiat, and thatās what we see with regard to the 60-vote rule."
"We have to put pressure on countries that are misusing our policies. - Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
