"Some of us have learnt how not to cry in public. How to dance with broken bones. How to sing with a sore...How to laugh even when life is not being funny...How to stumble, stagger and still walk with a swag. And yet how to know and trust without a shadow of doubt that God cannot fail even if He tried to fail!"
"This chapter of my life can be called many things but perhaps just one thing best fits....GRACE."
"I never gave up, and instead, I had to upgrade and better my craft to make me who I am today."
"I had the chance to be a full time banker but I rather chose acting. I have always wanted to be an actress and I don’t regret making that decision."
"I don’t mind being criticized. But there are some good and constructive criticisms that I might consider as that may be of some help to me. There are some people who would watch my movie, analyze it critically before criticizing it but others would just start criticizing me without any basis. The fact that a person has taken pains to watch my movies, before criticizing me shows that the person is being constructive and I confess, it makes me very happy."
"There are some people who criticize you without knowing what they are about or have no knowledge about you and still want to go ahead and criticize. Knowing where I went wrong makes me improve on my acting skills. So when it comes to criticism I love it and that helps me push for the best. It makes me understand when I am making a right move in acting."
"Politics, I don't have the strength...I have endorsed a political party before but that doesn't make me a politician. I just want to still be an entertainer. Politics, I don't think I have the energy yet. Filmmaking: producing - yes it is in the pipeline."
"Lady Roselyn is without a doubt one of the best talents in showbiz as she has shown her formidable acting skills consistently, throughout her career and that's why we honoured her as the Supreme African Actress of the Decade. There's just something about her style and look that really meshes with these characters! A part that we consider a natural fir for, as the Years have passed, her new portrayals are now more like real life translated into art & we consider a film industry Treasure from Africa."
"She (Roselyn) is incredibly talented and is one of Africa's most well-known. No matter what role she plays, she does it with supremacy & ease. She definitely deserves this honor and we're glad we bestowed it on her."
"She (Roselyn) is really good but I see her only acting certain roles when I think she can execute other roles well. She is very good. She is a great actress from Ghana as well."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
