"A robust digital economy is our hope for a post-COVID future! Slow internet speed plus limited online access equals a sluggish economy and a sorry standard of living, more so for local government units in more remote areas of the country."
"Referencing the exile of the Marcos family after the 1986 Edsa Revolution: Naalala ko nung nakita ko yung pagtangay kay President Duterte, eh ‘yung pag-kidnap rin ng tatay ko, nung tinangay kami papuntang Hawaii kaya para sa akin pareho lang ‘yun at hindi ‘yun tama. (When I saw how President Duterte was taken away, it reminded me of my father’s abduction and how we were brought to Hawaii. For me, it’s the same — and it’s wrong.)"
"Kay Presidente Duterte, ang ating dating Pangulo na Oktubre pa lamang itinaas na ang aking kamay, at sa kanyang anak na hanggang sa huling sandali si VP Inday Sara ay ako'y kinakampanya. (To President Duterte, our former president who raised my hand as early as October last year, and his daughter VP Inday Sara, who up to the final moments continued to campaign for me.)"
"Ang tagumpay na ito, kahit gaano kailap at kahirap ay isang katibayan na kapag ikaw ay nanindigan para sa tama, mananalo ka," she added. (This victory, although seemingly elusive and difficult to achieve, is proof that if you stand up for the right things, you will win.)"
"Bata pa lang kami ni Bongbong, alam na ng buong pamilya na ang problema sa kanya. Sa totoo lang, mababasa naman ng lahat ang testimonya ng aking ama patungkol sa kanyang ugali at gawain. (When Bongbong and I were young, the whole family knew that he had a problem. In fact, everyone can read my father's testimony about his behavior and actions.)"
"Hinihingi ko na tayo ay umuwi na. Mamahinga. Alang-alang sa iyong kalusugan. Kaya kung mabigo at mawala sa ’yo ang posisyon pero hindi ko kayang mawala ka sa amin. (My appeal is for us to come home. Rest, for the sake of your health. We can bear it if you fail and lose your position, but I can’t bear it if we lose you)."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
