Amin al-Husseini (c. 1897 – July 1974) was the leader of Palestinian Arab nationalist and Muslim leader in Mandatory Palestine. He was a leader of both the 1936–1939 Palestinian revolt against British rule in Mandatory Palestine and formed the Arab Liberation Army to fight Israel in the 1948 Palestine war.
