Doris Margaret Anderson
Doris Margaret Anderson CM (July 5, 1922 – October 16, 2022) was a Canadian nutritionist and politician who served as a senator. She was known for her pioneering work in celiac disease research and her contributions to education, particularly in the field of home economics. Anderson was also a long-time educator, having founded the home economics program at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). She was appointed to the Senate of Canada in 1995 and served until 1997.
