"Book of the dead, pages bound in human flesh Feasting the beast, from the blood the words were said I am unseen, dreamt the sacred passage aloud Trapped in a dream of the Necronomicon"
"Out of my mind into a world between In search of the ancient artistry Lord Kur, before your sword I see The house of death is opening Hanging from their primal sleep Forbidden to be seen Spirit of the elder gods Are dead but must live on Still to life but yet they breathe Dead but dreaming..."
"Life has no meaning, unyielding obsession Grasping at strings of a life I once knew Death by my own hands, achieving objective Blade to my throat, I calmly greet death In Hell I burn, my faith is sustained In Hell I burn again In Hell I burn, no questions remain In Hell I burn for Satan Opened eyes dream, unheavenly torture Raping the world of the dead Burning in Hell and viewing the unseen Satisfying feasting of flesh [...] Master it's true My promise I have kept Fulfillment of the prophecies The deity is dead"
"Burning I bleed, unholy incision Mark of the beast, behold the trifixion"
"If there is a hell, Deicide are destined to become its permanent house band in a move not dissimilar to Celine Dion's long-standing gig at Caesar's Palace."
"Though few would accuse Deicide of having pop sensibilities, there was something fun and catchy about them. This is in part thanks to Glen Benton's vocals; individual words are barked out, retaining the evil vibe, and the staccato delivery builds tension before breaking it back down with chaotic guitar solos."
"Deicide’s riffs are monstrously listenable for something so blasphemously eardrum-grinding, and the straight-from-hell vocals are entertaining for the seasoned listener but will still scare the shit out of your neighbors — and that’s why we all love death metal to begin with, right?"
"Deicide are one of the bands that made it easier for me to understand what death metal is. As weird as it may sound, some of their songs are really accessible, with catchy choruses."
"This is music Lucifer would love."
Young though he was, his radiant energy produced such an impression of absolute reliability that Hedgewar made him the first sarkaryavah, or general secretary, of the RSS.
- Gopal Mukund Huddar
Largely because of the influence of communists in London, Huddar's conversion into an enthusiastic supporter of the fight against fascism was quick and smooth. The ease with which he crossed from one worldview to another betrays the fact that he had not properly understood the world he had grown in.
Huddar would have been 101 now had he been alive. But then centenaries are not celebrated only to register how old so and so would have been and when. They are usually celebrated to explore how much poorer our lives are without them. Maharashtrian public life is poorer without him. It is poorer for not having made the effort to recall an extraordinary life.
I regret I was not there to listen to Balaji Huddar's speech [...] No matter how many times you listen to him, his speeches are so delightful that you feel like listening to them again and again.
By the time he came out of Franco's prison, Huddar had relinquished many of his old ideas. He displayed a worldview completely different from that of the RSS, even though he continued to remain deferential to Hedgewar and maintained a personal relationship with him.
