"I am waiting to tell all the things I know, provide all the evidence to the U.S. Government, and I want them to understand, and I also want the U.S. people to understand how terrible this is. It is not what you have seen ... This is something very different. We have to chase the true evidence and get the real evidence because this is a key part to stop this pandemic. We don't have much time."
"My conservative estimate is that this epidemic could end up at least 10 times the scale of SARS (severe acute respiratory disease)."
"I think we have passed the golden period of control and prevention."
"If there are no new cases in the next few days, the outbreak is over."
"What we can do at this moment (COVID-19 outbreak) is gain a scientific understanding of the disease and protect ourselves. Wear a mask when you go out."
"Momentum of the Wuhan virus epidemic outbreak may decline in 20 days (since 26 January 2020) based on the current prevention and control measures of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus."
"I say "possibly" (for the COVID-19 to more dangerous to humans than the other coronaviruses) because so far, not only do we not know how dangerous it is, we can't know. Outbreaks of new viral diseases are like the steel balls in a pinball machine: You can slap your flippers at them, rock the machine on its legs and bonk the balls to the jittery rings, but where they end up dropping depends on 11 levels of chance as well as on anything you do. This is true with coronaviruses in particular: They mutate often while they replicate, and can evolve as quickly as a nightmare ghoul."
"Viruses in bats may have mixed and matched genes to create the virus that gave rise to the deadly SARS outbreak in 2003, a new study suggests. And it could happen again. All of the ingredients needed to create a new SARS virus are found among viruses currently infecting horseshoe bats."
"The 2019 novel coronavirus is a punishment by nature to humans' unsanitary lifestyle. I promise with my life that the virus has nothing to do with the (Wuhan Institute of Virology) lab."
"Calm, calm down. The (COVID-19) virus has become rampant. Everyone here is anxious."
"For those that were originally vaccinated with vaccine A and then receive a vaccine B booster, the results are better than those vaccinated under an 'AA' or 'BB' plan."
"The big mistake in the U.S. and Europe, in my opinion, is that people aren't wearing masks. This virus is transmitted by droplets and close contact. Droplets play a very important role − you've got to wear a mask, because when you speak, there are always droplets coming out of your mouth. Many people have asymptomatic or presymptomatic infections. If they are wearing face masks, it can prevent droplets that carry the virus from escaping and infecting others."
