William Gordon Stables

(published as Gordon Stables; 21 May 1840 – 10 May 1910) was a Scottish medical doctor and surgeon in the , medical columnist, and author of several non-fiction books and more than 100 boys' , usually with a nautical or historical setting. Stables was a leading authority on dogs. From 1907 to 1910 he was the vice-president of the .
