Władysław Sikorski

Władysław Eugeniusz Sikorski (20 May 1881 – 4 July 1943) was a Polish general and politician. He distinguished himself leading Polish forces in World War I and the Polish-Soviet War, including the Battle of Warsaw. He later served a Prime Minister of Poland between 16 December 1922 and 26 May 1923. During World War II, Sikorski became prime minister of the Polish government-in-exile, Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Armed Forces, and a vigorous advocate of the Polish cause in the diplomatic sphe
