Margarete Bieber

(31 July 1879 – 25 February 1978) was a Jewish, German-American , , and professor. She was the second woman in Germany to become a professor extraordinarius. She, with her adopted daughter, in 1932 fled Germany and went to England and then in 1934 immigrated to the United States. Bieber was elected in 1971 a member of the .
