Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is a 1986 American slasher horror film, the sequel to 1985 film Friday the 13th: A New Beginning about Tommy Jarvis exhuming Jason Voorhees to cremate his corpse, but inadvertently brings him back to life instead with the newly revived killer seeking revenge. It was followed by the 1988 sequel Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.
